In the video performance “Through”, I explore trauma and the possibility of healing through rituals of burial and letting go — of the body’s memory and of material things.
This work addresses trauma and healing as an inevitable part of human experience — both physical (menstruation, pregnancy, aging) and psychological (loss, emptiness, meaninglessness, loneliness within the flow of life). It creates a space of memory and empathy, of presence and reflection on the bodily and temporal nature of existence, on the inevitability of death, and on the question of whether a human being can truly choose.
