This film is the result of a three-year artistic exploration of the theme of contact. It brings together drawing, hand animation, sculpting, bodily movement, sound, and rhythm — as ways to express what cannot be spoken: the experience of presence, attunement, and intimacy.
The project is grounded in personal and physical experience — using repetition, phase shift, transformation, and erasure. Contact is understood not as an external gesture, but as a form of becoming: a path toward oneself through encounter with the other, with space, with material.
The word begreifen (to grasp through touch) becomes the film’s central metaphor, where form emerges from process, and meaning arises from attentive, embodied movement and interaction.
